A fully automatic weight sensing overlay alternating pressure mattress system on 5in air cells, for preventing and treating pressure ulcers in people at high risk. The pump senses the weight of the person on it and adjusts the interface pressure continuously to match, with an air sensor and microcomputer regulator holding that pressure low. It runs near silently, so sleep and circulation are left undisturbed.
